Professor Song-Hye-jin is currently teaching Korean Traditional Musical History and Theory at Graduate School of Cultural Heritage Arts in Sookmyung Women's University in Seou, Korea.
She worked for Gugak FM Broadcasting where she had been deeply involved with since its inception as a chief producer from 2000 to 2004.
Song received her B.A. from Seoul National University, studying Gayageum performance at the department of Korean Traditional Music.
She received her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the Academy of Korean Studies majoring Korean Cultural Heritage arts (Traditional musical history and theory).
After finishing her graduate school, she visited Durham University, England as a visiting scholar for one year.
Prof. Song had published books on Korean classical music studies including A Study on the History of Korean Confucius Ritual Music (2000), Korean Musical Instruments (2001), Let us listen to Korean Music as this way (2002), History of Korean Music for Young people's (2007) etc.
