Description
Based on Hur Young Man's popular comic, the 2012 KBS drama Bridal Mask revolves around a legendary freedom fighter in the 1930s during the Japanese occupation. Joo Won (Ojakgyo Brothers) dons the mask as the conflicted vigilante hero known as Gaksital, while Park Ki Woong (Full House Take 2) co-stars as a Japanese officer gradually consumed by vengeance. The two friends take divergent paths of revenge and redemption in this rousing and harrowing action epic set during turbulent times. Shin Hyun Joon, Han Chae Ah and up-and-coming actress Jin Se Yeon also co-star in Bridal Mask.
Kang To (Joo Won) lost his father to the independence movement, but he has chosen to walk a different path out of poverty and suffering. As a Korean in the Japanese police force, he doggedly rises the ranks and sneers at those who call him a traitor. He is obsessed with bringing in the elusive masked independence fighter Gaksital, who is a hero to the people but a thorn to his side. The day Kang To catches Gaksital, however, will be the day he himself takes up the mask and transforms into Gaksital...
