Dear Dolphin is a story of never saying goodbye. Female director Kang Jin Ah takes a love story one step farther to depict a man's grief over his girlfriend, his hallucinations and his messy relationships with the people around him. Starring Lee Hee Joon (
The Flu), Lee Young Jun (
Yoga) and Han Ye Ri (
As One), the tragic love story pulls at your heartstrings with a powerful, atypical plot.
Hyuk Geun (Lee Hee Joon) cannot get over her girlfriend Cha Kyung (Han Ye Ri) who died in a car accident. He misses her so much that he begins to lead another life with illusions of her in a blue dress in his own land of imagination. Although knowing that it is not reality, Hyuk Geun is happy with the way things are, just to relieve his pain. Struck by guilt over the broken bicycle that she lent to her best friend Cha Kyung, Gi Ok (Lee Young Jin) is also desperately in need of comfort. She reaches out to Hyuk Geun whom she has secretly admired for a long time. With her guilt and unrequited love, Gi Ok goes to great lengths to help Hyuk Geun face the truth.
