A prolific filmmaker of the sixties and seventies, Jeong Chang Hwa is celebrated as a pioneer of Korean action cinema, although his most well-known works would actually be in Hong Kong film during his time with Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest, including classics like King Boxer, Five Fingers of Death and Six Assassins. Released in 1961, A Bonanza is one of the director's early Korean crime action films. Kim Seung Ho plays a man who, after finally hitting it rich in gold, returns to look for the daughter he abandoned two decades ago. However, his fortune turns him into the target of gangsters and swindlers, one of whom is his own long-lost daughter (Um Aing Ran). This edition includes a 50-minute documentary on Jeong Chang Hwa. |

In case a computer inquiry is not possible, a quick inquiry by fax or post is available for reference upon the user's request.
