Description
Garnering critical acclaim both at home and abroad, late director Park Cheol Su was one of Korea's most important and prolific filmmakers of the eighties and nineties. He was well known for his bold portrayal of women and sexuality in features like 301, 302 (1995), one of the first Korean films to play in the US, and Green Chair, which competed at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival. After a long absence from the director's chair, in 2011 he returned with Red Vacance Black Wedding and in 2012 he released the erotic drama B.E.D., one of his last films before his death in February 2013. True to style, B.E.D. is filled with nudity and sex scenes in its explicit exploration of desire, infatuation and one man's relationship with two women and his bed.
B (Jang Hyeok Jin) has a double bed that he refuses to part with. He can't get enough of E (Lee Min Ah), a bored married woman with whom he had a racy affair, but she leaves him. B marries singles mother D (Kim Na Mi), who just wants to settle and have a normal family, but he continues to pine over E.
