Description
Arrogant musical director Yu Il Han (Kim Rae Won) has been stuck directing children's musicals ever since his previous big-budget production flopped, but he still dreams of one day going to Broadway. He joins a television program, in which five musical directors each train a child actor to compete for the role of King Jungjo in an upcoming musical that will be performed on Broadway. During the casting, Il Han ends up with half-Filipino boy Young Kwan (Ji Dae Han) as his trainee. A frustrated Il Han reluctantly begins the training process believing that Young Kwan has no chance of winning the role – how can a half-Korean child be chosen to represent Korea? – but he gradually discovers what a special and talented child he is. Kim Rae Won (Insadong Scandal) returns to the silver screen in the small, heartwarming A Wonderful Moment (a.k.a. My Little Hero). Directed by Kim Sung Hoon (How the Lack of Love Affects Two Men), the film follows the teacher-mentor relationship between a musical director and a multicultural child, and how the unlikely encounter changes both their lives. Also co-starring Jo An (Hello My Love), Lee Kwang Soo (All About My Wife) and Lee Sung Min (Howling), the humorous and moving story not only inspires with a classic underdog dream, but also addresses ethnic issues facing Korean society.
