The study of Korean morphology began with the publication of Mal uy soli (Sounds of Speech), which was written by Korean linguist Cwu Si-Kyeng in 1914. This book is a fruit of the international conference on morphology on November 28-20, 2003, at the University of Seoul. This book is a collection of polyglot articles. It consists of the following two parts: "Morphology: the state of the art" and "Current Issues in Korean Morphology". Part I includes scripts for two lectures "On the autonomy of the morphological component and its relationship to other components" and "Whose morphology?", which were respectively given by Professor Yeong-Kun Ko and Professor Jean Aitchison. Part 2 focuses on morphological issues in Ancient Korean, Middle Korean, Modern Korean and contemporary Korean, respectively.
