  • Product Description
  • “STEPS to Better English” is much more than just another ESL book. It’s a handy reference tool for both students and teachers of conversational English as they collaborate in the learning process. English communication is not always easy to grasp, and for all intents and purposes idioms and commonly used phrases have been collected in this user-friendly textbook. Content goes beyond the structured English found in dictionaries and grammar books and focuses on the practical usage of English in everyday life. The first part, on similes, shows how these terms are used to make the language more interesting or to better emphasize a point. The tips and errors part of the book enables people to learn the proper way of communicating before developing bad habits of incorrect English. Proverbs are also included because these are used as an English communication tool, while they also give insight into the English-speaking culture. Slang is the final component of this book which people will find beneficial as they interact in a more casual and natural atmosphere with English speakers.
