Written, produced and directed by Lee Byeon Hun, the indie feature Cheer Up, Mr. Lee is about the filming of a television documentary on the daily life of an aspiring filmmaker preparing to film his debut work. However, the wannabe director (Hong Ahn Pyo) just seems to be an unmotivated guy who lazes around and drinks too much. He appears to be going nowhere (besides the bar), but his script reveals that he does have heart and talent. Can he get his act together and complete his film? Based on the director's own experiences, Cheer Up, Mr. Lee offers a tongue-in-cheek behind-the-scenes look at the wayward struggles of a young filmmaker.
